information : Micronational Resources

Micronationalism's unique nature and obscurity have ensured that resources on it can be scant. In addition, recreational micronationalism tends to be especially overlooked, with a strong segment of secessionist and new country micronationalists actively fighting against the inclusion of recreational micronationalism in articles and works about micronationalism (such as the Wikipedia article about micronationalism). Nevertheless, there are several great resources available on the internet about micronationalism. Listed below are links to some of those resources, particularly those pertaining to recreational micronationalism.
  1. Micronational News Network (MNN)

A comprehensive resource index of micronational links with articles, essays, directories, media sites, reference sites and others. Also includes news feeds and the archives of the former MNN forums, which were once a central hub of the Micrasian Sector.

  2. Micronational Cartography Society (MCS)

A central aspect of the intermicronational community of the Micrasian Sector, the MCS maintains and updates the map of the fictional planet of Micras, which lends its name to the Micrasian Sector due to the fact that most of the nations in the Sector are represented on the map. In recent times, the forums of the MCS have become the new central hub for the Micrasian Sector, and MicrasWiki has developed into a major central encyclopedia for and of the Sector.

  3. Ultimate Micronational ForumList

A fairly comprehensive directory of links to micronational forums, websites, wiki articles and cultural items. This resource also provides a listing showing the average of posts per day in each of the forums listed in the directory.

  4. Model Countries and Micronations

Was once one of the most comprehensive listings of micronational websites which also included links to secessionist movements, self government movements and de-jure small countries. The directory has not, however, been updated since 15 January 2008.
